FTP/Uploading Files |
||||
There are two ways in which you can upload files to your web site. One is using your cPanel
's File Manager and the other is using a desktop application such as CuteFTP or WS_FTP. We recommend WS_FTP Pro from IpSwitch ( www.ipswitch.com ).
cPanel File Manager: The File Manager allows you to manage your site through HTML, rather than an FTP tool or other third-party application. You can upload, create or delete files, organize files in folders, and change file permissions. While not as sophisticated as most FTP tools, File Manager is free and gives you all the basic functionality necessary to manage your site.Desktop FTP (such as CuteFTP or WS_FTP) Settings: If your name servers are set to ANetworkCompany.net then: Hostname/Address: ftp.yourdomain.com If your name servers do not point to ANetworkCompany.net yet: Upload your public accessable files to the public_html folder! |
